Number of eggs in Nakul's basket = x

Number of eggs in Ritu's basket = (2x + 18)

Given that,

Number of eggs in Ritu's basket = 4[Number of eggs in Nakul's basket]

$2 x + 18 = 4 x$

Subtracting 2x from both sides,

$2 x + 18 - 2 x = 4 x - 2 x$

$18 = 2 x$

Dividing by 2 at both sides.

$\frac{18}{2} = \frac{2 x}{2}$

$9 = x$

Number of eggs Ritu has in her basket

$= (2 x + 18)$

$= (2 \times 9 + 18)$

$(18 + 18)$
