Diamond is a non-metal and also an allotrope of Carbon( $C$ ).
Diamond is very hard in nature because the four electrons of carbon atoms are shared with four other carbon atoms by covalent bonds. This forms a rigid tetrahedral crystal.
Therefore, Diamond is a Non-Metal which is very hard in nature.
