Question

Name an element whose atomic weight was corrected on the basis of their positions in Mendeleev’s periodic table.

Open in App
Solution

Mendeleev's periodic table helped in correction of atomic masses of some of the elements, based on their positions in the periodic table.
For ex: the atomic mass of Beryllium was corrected from 13.5 to 9.0.
Along with Beryllium, there were three more elements whose atomic masses were corrected which included Gold, Platinum and Indium.
