3. They are saprophytic and they generally lack chlorophyll.
4. They feed on microorganisms like bacteria, fungi, and yeasts and decompose dead organic matter.
5. Some of the slime moulds are parasitic & found in the roots of cabbage and other plants of Brassicaceae family.
