Solution
Thermoacidophils:
They are acid & temperature-loving archaebacteria.
These organisms generally grow at high temperatures ranging 55℃ to 59℃ and a pH scale of 2. Cells also undergo lysis at neutral pH.
Thermoplasma, Thermoproteus, Sulfolobus are very common Thermoacidophiles.
These Thermoplasma and Thermoproteus are also pleomorphic commons in piles of burning coal refuse.
The genus Sulfolobus is a facultative autotroph growing better at 70℃ to 87℃ and at a pH of 2.
In nature, these are also predominant in acidic hot springs, sulfur springs & in hot acid soils.
Specialized cell membranes in these bacteria are also composed of a monolayer of long-chain hydrocarbons connected at both the ends to glycerol by other linkages which enable them to grow in a hot-acid environment.
