  1. Lysosomes are the membrane-bound organelles and area within their membrane is known as the lumen, which generally contains hydrolytic enzymes and other cellular debris.
    1. The key function of the lysosomes is the digestion & removal of waste.
    2. Cellular debris or any foreign particles are pulled inside the cell through the process of endocytosis.
  2. A vacuole is also a membrane bound structure found in cytoplasmic matrix of a cell.
    1. The membranes are composed of the phospholipids.
    2. Vacuoles store the nutrients & water.
    3. They also store waste from cell and prevents cell from the contamination.
