Taxonomical aids are the collections of samples or preserved organisms which help in extensive research for the identification of various taxonomic hierarchy. It is used for classification of organisms and the information gathered is stored along with the specimens.
For example, Herbarium which is a store house of collected plant specimens that are dried, pressed or preserved on sheets. These system are arranges according to universally accepted system. It also serves as a quick referral systems in taxonomic studies.
