Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD):

The diseases transferred from an infected person to a healthy person through sexual contact are called sexually transmitted diseases.

The curable sexually transmitted diseases:

  1. Syphilis: This disease is caused by bacteria called Treponema pallidum. The common symptoms of syphilis disease are a burning sensation during urination and urethral discharge. It is treated by using antibiotics such as Penicillin.
  2. Gonorrhoea: The disease is caused by bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhoeae. The typical symptom of gonorrhoea is inflammation of reproductive parts. It is treated by using antibiotics such as azithromycin and ceftriaxone.
