Name any two effects of electric current.

The two effects of electric current are:
(i) Heating effect - When electric current is passed through a conductor, it produces heat.Ths is termed as heating effect of electric current. This effect is used in the working of electric iron, kettle etc.

(ii) Magnetic effect - The magnetic effect of electric current is also termed as electromagnetic effect. When electric current flows through a conductor, it produces a magnetic field around the conductor. Magnetic effect of electric current is used in electric motors, electric bells etc.
