Solution

1. Habeas Corpus: The expression “Habeas Corpus” is a Latin term which means ‘to have the body’. The main objective of this writ is to provide an immediate remedy to the person unlawfully detained, whether in prison or private custody.
2. Certiorari: Certiorari is a writ issued by a superior court to an inferior court or tribunal commanding the latter to send up the record of a particular case. Literally, Certiorari means to be certified. The Writ of Certiorari can be issued by the Supreme Court or any High Court for quashing the order already passed by an inferior court.
