The habitat that has water in its surrounding in which the organisms live is called aquatic habitat. There are three kinds of aquatic habitat- freshwater, marine and coastal.

Freshwater habitat comprises of rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, etc. Marine habitat comprises of oceans and seas. Coastal habitat is regions where land meets the sea.
