Tomato

Tomato contains more than 10 types of acids.

The common acids are:

  1. Citric acid
  2. Malic acid
  3. Ascorbic acids
  4. Oxalic acid.

But citric acid & malic acid are the acids found in greater quantities.

Vinegar

  1. The acid present in vinegar is acetic acid.
  2. The acetic acid can be produced in laboratory by reacting with carbon dioxide with methyl alcohol utilizing cobalt as a catalyst.

Tamarind

The acid present in tamarind is

  1. Tartaric acid
  2. Citric acid

Tamarind is rich in vitamin C .

The citric acid is found in both tomato and tamarind.
