Dear Student
Malaria is caused by several species of Plasmodium. The female anopheles mosquito acts as the carrier.
Plasmodium reproduces by Multiple fission.
In multiple fission, many individuals are formed from a single individual. In plasmodium, the nucleus of the cell divides repeatedly producing many nucleus. Each nucleus is surrounded by a small amount of cytoplasm and many daughter cells are produced within the cyst. The cyst breaks up under favorable conditions and small offsprings are liberated, that is small daughter cells released.
