Solution

Plant cells have cell walls, plastids, and large vacuoles that are not found within animal cells.

Cell wall:

  1. It is a rigid layer whose function is to protect and provide structural support to the cell.
  2. The plant cell wall is also involved in protecting the cell.

Plastid:

  1. Plastids like Chloroplasts carry out photosynthesis.
  2. Photosynthesis is a series of reactions that use carbon dioxide, water, and light energy to make glucose and oxygen.
  3. Leucoplasts store food inside the cells.

Large vacuoles:

  1. Vacuoles are the sac-like organelles that are filled with a fluid called cell sap which consists of water, sugar, enzymes, etc.
  2. It helps the cell to remain in shape.
  3. In animal cells, vacuoles are either absent or are very few and small in size.
  4. In plant cells large-sized vacuoles are present.
