  1. The sponge's huge vacuole or hollow is known as a spongecoel.
  2. Sponge family members include sycon.
  3. They are the cell's most straightforwardly organized unit.
  4. They have spongocoel, which allows water to enter the body through smaller pores (ostia) and escape through bigger openings (osculum)
  5. Choanocytes and pinacocytes border the spongocoel of sponges on the interior and exterior.
  6. The cells that will be found inside the sponges are called choanocytes.
  7. choanocytes help in moving by connected flagella.
  8. The choanoderm will be produced by these choanocytes.
