Solution
Acetylcholine is used to check over the stimulation of muscle fiber.
Muscle contraction is stimulated through the following steps:
1. When an action potential of neuron reaches the neuromuscular junction, neurotransmitter i.e., acetylcholine secretes and get diffused into the synaptic cleft.
2. Action potential generates on motor end plate and T tubule. The action potential then travels along the sarcolemma throughout the transverse system tubules.
3. Due to an action potential, sarcoplasmic reticulum releases Ca2+. The Ca 2+ binds to troponin on actin filament and stimulates the tropomyosin to expose the binding site for the cross-bridge formation. If ATP is available to muscle, the contraction begins.
