Dear Student,
Grains like wheat and barley need to need to be dried before harvesting in order to store safely. Drying can be done both artificially by the dryer and by natural methods like sunlight. Sunlight is a combination of visible, infrared and ultraviolet rays.
Infrared rays also are known as ‘heat radiation’ is responsible for the drying of wheat after harvesting as it is quickly absorbed by the wheat plant cells.
Regards.
