Magnesium Bicarbonate is an unstable compound of magnesium in solid-state with the formula Mg(HCO3)2, it exists only in solutions.
It exists only in solution and is formed by the action of water containing free carbon dioxide on magnesite, dolomite, dolomitic limestone, and other minerals containing magnesium carbonate.
It causes temporary hardness in water and on heating it easily decomposes back to carbonate.

Uses of Magnesium Bicarbonate – .
Used as an antacid decreases hyperacidity in conditions such as peptic ulcer disease, reflux esophagitis, gastritis, and hiatal hernia.
Used to treat patients with renal insufficiency and should be given cautiously during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Magnesium bicarbonate helps to balance out the pH level in our body.
