Glands
Glands are important organs that are present all over the body. They create and release chemicals that serve certain purposes. Although you have numerous glands throughout your body, they are divided into two categories: endocrine and exocrine.
Gland in the digestive system
The salivary glands (parotid, submandibular, and sublingual), pancreas, and liver are the three glands linked with the digestive system in humans.
Saliva is produced by salivary glands.
As an exocrine system, the pancreas produces trypsin and chymotrypsin, and as an endocrine system, it produces insulin and glucagon.
