Solution

Nerves:

A dense network of thread-like structures called nerves form a part of the nervous system. They carry messages to and from the brain and the spinal cord. Nerves are of three types namely sensory nerves, motor nerves, and mixed nerves.

  1. Sensory nerves carry impulses from the sense organs to the brain and the spinal cord.
  2. Motor nerves carry impulses from the brain and the spinal cord to the sense organs.
  3. Mixed nerves carry impulses both ways: from the sense organs to the brain and the spinal cord and from the brain and the spinal cord to the sense organs.
