Kwashiorkor:

  1. This is a disease that occurs in children of age 1-5 years.
  2. Kwashiorkar develops when a mother stops feeding her child with breast milk due to the birth of another baby too soon.

Symptoms of protein deficiency:

  1. The symptoms are degeneration of muscles and reduced body weight.
  2. Hair loss and skin and nail problems are seen.
  3. Slow and disabled immune system.
