Name the drying agent which is used during the preparation of FeCl3 from Iron and Chlorine?

  • FeCl3 is highly deliquescent, so to keep it dry, we use Calcium chloride as a drying agent.

Part-2 Reason:-

  • Calcium chloride is highly hygroscopic in nature, so it can easily absorb water.

Hence, the drying agent which is used during the preparation of FeCl3 from Iron and Chlorine is Calcium chloride.
