Solution

Dear Student,
(i)Infrared waves have the wavelength between 1 mm to 700 nm .
Use of infrared waves are :
(a) In remote control TV ,VCR etc,
(b) In photography in thin mist.
(ii) Klystron valve or magnetron valve are used for production of microwave.
(iii) Wavelength range from 1 nm to 10-3 nm is infrared wave.
Uses are :
(a) In remote control TV ,VCR etc,
(b) In photography in thin mist.
(iv) The electromagnetic waves produced are X rays.
(v) Gamma rays have largest penetrating power.
Increasing order of wavelength is-
Microwave >infrared>X ray > gamma ray .
