Solution

Dear student,
Parathyroid hormone secreted by the parathyroid gland increases calcium level in the blood and maintains it. Parathyroid hormone stimulates kidney resorption of calcium into blood and also stimulates osteoclasts to release calcium into the blood by breaking bones in case when calcium is needed by the body.
