  1. A whorl is a cluster of sepals, petals, leaves, stipules, or branches that radiate from a central point and surround or wrap around the stem.
  2. The flower whorls are calyx, corolla, androecium and gynoecium
  3. The essential whorls of flower are Androecium and gynoecium, because they enclose the reproductive parts of the flower.
  4. Androecium and gynoecium is referred to as male and female reproductive organs respectively.
  5. Calyx and corolla are the non-essential flower whorls.
