  1. A flower is usually the main beautiful and attractive portion of a plant as well as it is also the main reproductive organ of the plant.

Parts of flower:

A flower is made up of four different parts namely sepals, petals, stamens and carpel which are arranged in four whorls.

Pistils:

Female reproductive organs are called pistils or carpels. These are the innermost parts where seed formation takes place. It consists of three parts- Stigma, style, and ovary.

  1. Stigma- Swollen, receptive portion of the pistil.
  2. Style- Long tube-like structure connecting the ovary and the stigma.
  3. Ovary- Bottommost region where ovules are present and seed formation take place.
