Salt

  • When acid reacts with the base, it will form a salt
  • To produce a salt, the hydrogen ion (H+) is replaced by the metal ion of the base.

Insoluble salt

  • The salt which doesn't dissolve into water is called Insoluble salt.

Example

  • Calcium sulfate CaSO4, Barium sulfate BaSO4

Soluble salt

  • The salts which dissolves in Water H2O is called soluble salt.

Example

  • Sodium chloride NaCl, Potassium chloride KCl

The lead (Pb) containing salt is insoluble in cold water and soluble in hot water.

Lead sulfate (PbSO4) is insoluble in cold water and soluble in hot water.
