a) Squamous epithelium:

  1. It is a single layer of flattened cells that makes up the squamous epithelium.
  2. The thinness of these cells makes material transmission easier.

b) Tendon:

  1. It is a fibrous connective tissue that connects the muscle to the bone.
  2. Muscles are associated with tendons to bones.

c) Phloem:

  1. It is the vascular tissue responsible for transporting and distributing organic nutrients.
  2. They are present in stems and leaves and are found at the outer side of the vesicular bundle.
  3. They transport food and other nutrients i.e sugar and amino acids from leaves to the storage organs as well as growing parts of the plant.

d) Adipose tissue (AT):

  1. It is one of the major endocrine organs in the human body.
  2. In the integumentary system i.e. the skin, it accumulates in the deepest level, the subcutaneous layer which provides insulation from heat and cold.

e) Blood:

  1. It is a fluid made up of plasma and cells that circulate throughout the body.
  2. Blood helps to maintain the internal body temperature by absorbing or releasing heat.
  3. Blood absorbs oxygen from the lungs and transports it to different cells of the body.
  4. The waste carbon dioxide moves from the blood to the lungs and is exhaled.

f) Nervous tissue:

  1. It is made up of highly specialized cells in the brain and central nervous system that regulate an organism's actions.
  2. It provides electrical insulations to nerve cells and removes debris.
  3. It is responsible for carrying messages from other neurons to the cell body
