The reaction H3CBr+AgFH3CF+AgBr is named as Swartz reaction. It is halogen exchange reaction in which an alkyl bromide is converted into alkyl fluoride. Instead an alkyl bromide, an alkyl chloride can also be used. Instead of AgF, we can also use CoF2, SbF3 or Hg2F2.
