The kind of lens required to correct nearsightedness - concave lens
Nearsightedness or myopia is the defect where light from the distant object forms an image before the retina and the image is blur. This happens when eye is elongated or the cornea or lens is too strong.
By placing concave lens in front of the eye it moves the image back onto the retina and makes the image clear.
