Injury:

  1. Any accidental or abrupt change of form or function of the plant due to continuous irritation is called injury.
  2. They can be caused by agents like insects, animals, chemical, physical or environmental.

Bleeding:

  1. When a cut or injury occurs in a plant, the vascular bundles get exposed in that area.
  2. Due to root pressure the sap of the sieve tubes oozes out.
  3. This oozing out of the sap is called bleeding.
