Solution

Wilting or drooping of leaves occurs due to the loss of water from its cytoplasm due to exosmosis.
Exosmosis :
When a cell is placed in a hypertonic solution, the water comes out of the cell and the cell becomes flaccid. This movement of water from the cell is known as exosmosis.
Such a cell is known as a flaccid cell and the process is known as flaccidity.
It is a reverse process of turgidity.

Hence, the process by which wilting or drooping of leaves occurs is called flaccidity.
