Knot-like mass of blood capillaries inside the Bowman's capsule

Solution

EXPLANATION:

  1. Bowman's capsule is a single-celled, thick-walled, cup-like structure and the glomerulus is a tuft of capillaries formed by an afferent arteriole (a fine branch of the renal artery).
  2. The function of the malpighian body is filtering the large solutes present in blood and delivering the small solutes to the renal tubule.

GLOMERULUS: The glomerulus is the filtering unit of the urinary organ and consists of a network of capillaries and extremely differentiated animal tissue cells, the podocytes, that regulate selective filtration of blood into nursing ultrafiltrate which will ultimately become excretion.
