Human male sperm is made up of 3 parts, the head which is known as acrosome, the middle piece and the tail. The acrosome is the part of the sperm that penetrates the ovum during fertilization. It is made up of hydrolytic enzymes that help in the process. It breaks the protective coat of the egg.
