Corpus luteum secretes progesterone, relaxin, inhibin/actin
hormones. Progesterone stimulates the uterine glands to produce increased
amounts of watery fluids. It also increases endometrium of the uterus.
It also maintains pregnancy (placenta formation). Relaxin increases the
flexibility of the pubis symphysis of the pelvic girdle at the time of
child birth. Inhibin inhibits and actin activates the FSH and GnRH production.
