Water and Nitric oxide are obtained as a byproduct of this reaction.
Reaction- $\underset{C o p p e r}{3 C u} + \underset{N i t r i c a c i d}{8 H N O_{3}} \to \underset{C o p p e r n i t r a t e}{3 C u {(N O_{3})}_{2}} + 4 H_{2} O + \underset{N i t r i c o x i d e}{2 N O}$
So the gas obtained is Nitric oxide.
