  1. It is formed by the adrenal medulla region of the adrenal gland.
  2. It is also called epinephrine.
  3. It is also called emergency hormones because they prepare the body for emergencies.
  4. These hormones are produced in response to stress and during emergency situations like sudden anger or fear.
  5. It stimulates the breakdown of glycogen in glucose resulting in an increased concentration of glucose in the blood.
