Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH):

  1. It is secreted by the anterior lobe of the pituitary gland
  2. This is responsible for growth of Graafian follicle and secretion of hormone estrogen in females.
  3. In males, it is responsible for the spermatogenesis, a process involved in production of sperms.
