Solution

Answer Testis
Testosterone is the main hormone produced by the testis for secondary sexual characteristics. This is also responsible for the pubertal changes in males, sex drives and spermatogenesis. The secretion of this hormone is again regulated by the follicular stimulating hormone.

Answer Ovary
The ovary is the female sex organ which produces the female gamete ovum. It secrets estrogen and progesterone which are again regulated by a follicle-stimulating hormone produced by the pituitary gland. Oestrogen is responsible for secondary sexual characteristics in females and also endometrial growth during the menstrual cycle. Progesterone prepares uterine endometrium for implantation and also maintains pregnancy.
