Myopia is also known as nearsightedness, in this defect a person has a problem while seeing the far object.
The concave lens helps to cure myopia by focusing an image on the retina.
Placing concave lenses in front of a nearsighted eye reduces the refraction of light and lengthens the focal length so that the image is formed on the retina.
