​Rice:
  • Rice requires high temperature above 25-degree Celsius, high humidity and rainfall above 100cm. And in the areas of less rain, it grows well with the help of irrigation.
  • It grows well in alluvial clayey soil.
Wheat:
  • Wheat requires a cool temperature during the growing season and bright sunshine at the time of ripening.
  • It requires 50 to 75 cm of annual rainfall evenly distributed over the growing season.
  • It thrives best in well-drained loam.
Maize:
  • Maize requires a temperature between 21 to 27 degrees Celsius.
  • Old alluvial soil is the best for its cultivation.

Millet:
  • Millet is a hardy crop and rain-fed crop mostly grown in moist areas which hardly need irrigation. And requires high to moderate temperatures to grow.
  • It grows well in loamy and sandy soil.
