  1. During the electroplating process, the object which we need to plate is obtained from the cathode of an electrolytic cell.
  2. Hence in this electroplating process, the metallic ions which should be present in the electrolyte are Ag+ions(silver ions)

Therefore, silver ions (Ag+ions) should be present in the electrolyte.
