Solution

(a) Sitar - It consists of stretched strings. When a string is plucked, it sets into vibration.
(b) Dholak - It consists of a stretched membrane called its head. When the head is beaten gently, the stretched membrane sets into vibration.
(c) Flute - It is a hollow pipe. When air is blown over its mouth, the air inside the pipe is set into vibration.
(d) Cymbals - It is both vibration generator and resonator. Sound is produced by striking one cymbal against the other. This causes mainly the rim to vibrate while the center remains motionless.
(e) Veena - A Veena has a stretched string. Sound is produced by vibrations. When the string is plucked, the string creates vibrations and produces sound.
(f) Tabla - Sound is produced in a tabla due to vibration of membrane caused by beating it.
