Name the organ that maintains the level of glucose and amino acids in the blood.
Liver
The liver, in addition to producing bile that helps in the digestion of fats, also maintains the level of glucose in the blood, by converting excess glucose into glycogen and storing it. When required, the liver again converts the stored glycogen into glucose and releases it into the blood. The liver also breaks down excess amino acids into urea, which is expelled out of the liver via the hepatic vein.
