Open in App
Solution

Cytoplasm is the part in cyanobacteria which contains chlorophyll,

Cyanobacteria, or blue-green bacteria, are examples of photo autotrophic bacteria. The process of photosynthesis first evolved in bacteria, possibly in blue-green bacteria.

Photosynthetic membranes characteristically run throughout the cytoplasm and it is here that the photosynthetic pigments are located.

The pigments include chlorophyll a (resembling algae and plants) as well as a charecteristic blue-green pigment phycocyanin.

Hope this helps :)
