Solution

Midbrain:

  1. The midbrain is a smaller part of the brain containing fibrous tracts that connect the forebrain with the hindbrain.
  2. These fibrous tracts are called cerebral peduncles.
  3. The midbrain also contains four swellings called corpora quadrigemina or colliculi.
  4. These swellings are responsible for controlling head, neck and eye muscles.

Therefore, the part of the brain that controls reflex movements of the head, neck and eye muscles is the corpora quadrigemina of the midbrain.
