Solution

Cerebrum:

The cerebrum is the region of the forebrain divided into two cerebral hemispheres through a longitudinal cerebral fissure. Each cerebral hemisphere contains:

  1. The frontal lobe is the centre of intelligence and is responsible for thinking.
  2. The parietal lobe is the centre for senses like pain, touch, temperature, etc.
  3. The temporal lobe controls hearing, smell, recalling of audiovisual events, etc.
  4. The occipital lobe controls sight.

Therefore, the frontal lobe of the cerebrum is responsible for intelligence and thinking.
