Parts of forebrain:
Forebrain includes cerebrum, thalamus and hypothalamus.
Cerebrum :
Cerebrum is the largest part of the brain. It is divided into two cerebral hemispheres joined together by corpus callosum. It has four lobes.
Frontal lobe is associated with the parts of speech, facial muscular activities and higher mental activities.

Occipital lobe is associated with visual reception,i.e sight.
Temporal lobe is associated with auditory reception.,i.e hearing.
Thalamus :
Thalamus- It is a small structure located right above the brainstem. It helps in receiving the sensory information from the sense organs.
Hypothalamus:
Hypothalamus – The hypothalamus is a small and important part of the brain, located exactly below the thalamus. It controls the centre for hunger, thirst, fatigue, sleep, body temperature, mood and emotion. It also secretes neurohormones.
