Malaria is caused by Plasmodium species such as 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘷𝘪𝘷𝘢𝘹, 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘦, 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘤𝘪𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘶𝘮 and 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘪𝘶𝘮 𝘮𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘦. It is a unicellular protozoan parasite and is transmitted by female Anopheles mosquito.
Symptoms of malaria typically include three stages:
1. Cold stage: Chills, Rigors, Headache and giddiness.
2. Hot stage: High-grade fever up to 1060F.
3. Sweating stage: Profuse sweating and return of body temperature to normal.
