Photosensitive cells in the retina:
The retina forms the light-sensitive region of the eye containing photosensitive cells known as rods and cones.
The receptor cells are $140$ million in number out of which rods are $130$ million.
Rods are sensitive to dim light and are not responsible for seeing color.
The pigment present in them is known as rhodopsin.
